Franklin Roosevelt
He was the 32nd president of the United States. He led us through both the Great Depression and WWII. With the leadership of Franklin D Roosevelt, we were able to retaliate against the Pearl Harbor attack and achieve victory here at home an in Europe. He died just four moths before the end of the war and was succeeded by Harry S. Truman, his vice president. To this day. FDR is remember as one of the most influential presidents of the United States the world has ever known.
Winston Churchill
He served as Prime Minister for Great Britain from 1940-1945 and again from 1951-1955. He helped lead the British to triumph and overcome Nazi Germany. Known as a great speaker, Churchill was able to boost the confidence of the British with his speeches on the war. With his strong relationships with FDR and Harry S. Truman, Churchill was able to build a stable alliance with the United States. With all of his qualities, Churchill successfully defeated the Nazis and brought Great Britain peace again.
Joseph Stalin
Joseph Stalin was the General Secretary for the Communist Party of the Soviet Union from 1922 to 1953. Though he originally had a limited amount of power, Stalin was able to increase his power to become the Party's leader and the ruler of the Soviet Union. Stalin believed that Russia was suffering the most during the war and demanded immediate assistance from the Allied nations. Both the UK and US agreed to assist Russia as long as Russia agreed to assist the defeat of Nazi Germany. Stalin agreed to these terms and thus the Allied nations defeated the Axis Powers.
